Signing in

Clubhouse holds information about minors, so everyone signs in with two things: your password, and a 6-digit code from an app on your phone.
Setting up two-factor sign-in
You'll do this once, right after creating your account.
- Install an authenticator app if you don't have one: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, or similar.
- In the app, add an account and scan the QR code Clubhouse shows you. If you can't scan it (for example, you're on the same phone), tap Can't scan? and type in the key instead.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows.
- Save your 10 backup codes somewhere safe, such as a password manager, a note in a safe place, or a printout. Each one works once, and they're only shown once.
Signing in day to day
- Enter your email and password.
- Open your authenticator app and enter the current 6-digit code for Clubhouse.
Codes change every 30 seconds. If one doesn't work, wait for the next one. After a wrong code, Clubhouse briefly slows down further attempts to protect your account.
You stay signed in until you sign out, or after 12 hours without using the app.
Lost or new phone
- You still have a backup code: sign in with it in place of the 6-digit code. Then go to Menu → Sign-in & security and make new backup codes.
- No backup codes: ask a club admin. They can reset two-factor sign-in for you, and you'll set it up again the next time you sign in.
If your phone was lost or stolen, also use Sign out all other devices (below).
Forgot your password
- If your club has email set up: use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
- Otherwise: ask a club admin for a password link. It works once.
Sign out all other devices
Signed in on a shared computer, or lost a phone? Go to Menu → Sign-in & security → Sign out all other devices. Every other session ends; the one you're using stays signed in.
Changing your password or backup codes
Menu → Sign-in & security lets you change your password and make a new set of backup codes. Making new codes stops the old ones from working.
